  • Weekend Kitchen & Bath Showroom Concierge

    The Showroom Concierge is crucial in providing exceptional customer service and creating a positive experience for visitors to the showroom on Capitol Hill. This position involves greeting and assisting customers, managing inquiries, and maintaining a welcoming and organized showroom environment. The Showroom Concierge serves as the first point of contact, representing the company's image and values.

    We are a design-build general contracting firm serving clients in the DC/MD markets. Our services include kitchen, bathroom, and basement renovations. We recently opened a Design Studio in Takoma Park showcasing our kitchen and bathroom cabinetry, hardware, and countertop offerings. The Studio will be a space for our design team including architects and designers to collaborate with our clients to create beautiful and inspiring home environments.

    Major Responsibilities

    • Customer Greeting and Assistance:
      • Welcome customers to the showroom with a friendly and professional demeanor.
      • Assist customers in locating products, providing information about features, and answering queries.
      • Offer guidance on showroom layout and available services.
      • Appointment Scheduling:
        • Manage and schedule appointments with company Owner for consultations with clients.
        • Coordinate with company Owner and designers where necessary for a seamless customer experience.
    • Showroom Maintenance:
      • Ensure the showroom is clean, organized, and well-maintained at all times.
    • Product  and Services Knowledge:
      • Become an expert on our line of cabinetry and be able to communicate both the value proposition of our supplier and the features of the cabinetry.
      • Become an expert on the design and home renovation services that our company provides and communicates this with precision to potential customers.
      • Attend training sessions to continuously enhance product knowledge.
    • Professionalism:
      • Represent the company in a professional manner, adhering to dress code and conduct standards.
      • Uphold the company's brand image and values in all interactions.

    About Your Experience

    • Must be able to work Saturday and Sunday.
    • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in hospitality or customer service is a plus.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Customer-focused with a positive attitude.
    • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
    • Familiarity with basic computer applications.
    • Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, or retail.
    • Experience with kitchen cabinetry, home renovation, or design highly desired

  • Kitchen & Bath Designer

    About The Position

    • Lead client engagements for kitchen and bathroom renovations.
    • Visit client sites to take measurements and discuss design concepts with clients.
    • Conceptualize and sketch design plans in CAD or 202.
    • Create design concepts and digital presentations with finish selections, furnishings, and fixtures
    • Present design concepts and take detailed notes to address customer requests
    • Develop highly detailed elevations for both kitchens and bathrooms.
    • Source materials and products included in plans
    • Develop deep product knowledge of Crystal Cabinetry.
    • Assist clients in selecting cabinetry in our design studio.
    • Place orders through the Crystal Cabinetry software system.
    • Track the timeline for fabrication of cabinetry, receive cabinetry upon delivery and inspect for damage.
    • Manage completion orders as necessary.
    • Develop and maintain positive and effective relationships with clients and other stakeholders (internal and external)
    • Collaborate with various team members including Principals, other designers and architects, and construction team.

    About Your Experience

    • Bachelor’s or Masters degree in Interior Design, Architecture or related field
    • Certifications related to Interior Design an asset
    • NKBA Certification an asset
    • 5+ years of experience in Interior Design and Project Management
    • Strong design portfolio
    • Strong competency in interior design specifications, calculations, industry standards, and application of building codes
    • Demonstrated understanding of construction practices, methodologies, and detailing
    • Highly developed emotional intelligence
    • Excellent time and project management skills
    • Advanced communication skills
    • Advanced problem solving and decision-making skills

    Compensation and Work Environment.

    Zen Renovations offers a fun work environment and a competitive salary and benefits program.   • Project Manager

    This position serves as the primary coordinator of residential interior construction projects of kitchens, baths, and basements. The Project Manager coordinates project scheduling, and communication with clients, designers, and construction staff.

    Major Responsibilities

    • Lead multiple client engagements coordinating the work of designers, architects, and construction staff.
    • Manage projects in project management software, Monday.com.
    • Serve as the primary contact between clients and Zen Renovations for the duration of a project.
    • Develop a weekly schedule in partnership with the Owner and construction staff.
    • Develop material lists in coordination with the foreman and ensure that all construction materials are ordered and onsite in a timely manner.
    • Assist clients with ordering allowance items such as doors, windows, and other materials as needed.
    • Prepare project Change Orders.
    • Other tasks assigned by the Owner.

    Required Qualifications

    • Superior organizational skills.
    • Work history as a project manager.
    • Very adept at using technology - Google Suite, Excel, Monday.com a bonus.
    • High attention to detail.
    • Ability to communicate with a variety of stakeholders with ease including clients, subcontractors, vendors, and clients.
    • Patience and awesome customer relationship skills.
    • Strong interest and experience in home design.

    Compensation

    $65,000-$85,000 annually. Fully paid individual health, dental, and vision insurance. 4 weeks of paid leave.  Company-sponsored retirement plan with a match. All the Nespresso coffee and chocolate you can consume. (some limits may apply :)
